Answering the call: The Centre for Mature Women's Health

Sinai Health is leading the charge in creating a world-class Centre for Mature Women’s Health. It will offer fully integrated services across a range of specialties, meeting the diverse needs of women living with menopause.

This is more than a space. It’s a transformative shift in the ways we deliver care to women throughout their lives. Our work will help change standards for care delivery, train the next generation of care providers and conduct research with global reach.

We're uniting care to meet the urgent demand for improved access and delivery

Sinai Health has what it takes

Our expertise and vision position us to lead the world with a centre dedicated to menopause care, research and education.

We've built a solid foundation, but we need your help to expand so we can continue to impact more women whose voices are still being ignored:

  • Our internationally recognized menopause clinics support more than 2,500 women annually and we are home to the only premature ovarian insufficiency clinic in Canada.
  • Sinai Health is one of the only academic centres in the world to make menopause and women’s health a key strategic priority.
  • Our donors have helped establish North America’s only endowed clinical chair in menopause, the Carol Mitchell Chair in Menopause.
  • Ours is one of the only postgraduate fellowship programs in menopause in North America.
Dr. Gary Newton, Sinai Health President & CEO with philanthropist Carol Mitchell, who established the Carol Mitchell Chair in Menopause – North America’s first chair in this area and held by Dr. Wendy Wolfman, Director of the Centre for Mature Women’s Health, and Louis de Melo, President & CEO, Sinai Health Foundation.
